Bulb ovoid, 15–18 × 10–12 mm, with membranous whitish tunics, the outers often dark brown. Stem 20–30 cm high, cylindrical, glabrous, erect, covered for half of its length by the leaf sheaths. Leaves 3–4, semicylindrical, glabrous, green–glaucescent, ribbed, 10–23 cm long, c. 1 mm wide. Spathe persistent, with two valves unequal, longer than the inflorescence, the larger 7-nerved and 4–6.5 cm long, the smaller 5-nerved and 2–3 cm long. Inflorescence lax and expanded, 3–3.5 cm in diameter, 25–40 flowered, with unequal pedicels 5–25 mm long. Perigonium campanulate, with tepals equal, yellow–greenish, tinged with brown–purplish, elliptical, rounded at the apex, 3.5–4 mm long and 1.3–1.5 mm wide, midrib green–brown. Stamens exserted from perigonium, with simple white filaments, subequal, 3–4.5 mm long, below connate into an annulus 0.4–0.7 mm high. Anthers yellow, elliptical, 1.3–1.4 mm long, 0.7–0.8 mm wide, apiculate at the apex. Ovary obovoid, green, tuberculate above, 1.6–1.8 mm long, 1.6 mm wide. Style white, 1.2–1.3 mm long. Capsule trivalved, obovoid, 4 × 4 mm, green, tinged brown–purplish.
